SLUSA translates documents between English and any of 150 foreign languages
Customers may complete an online request form where they can directly upload documents for translation. SLUSA’s Text Services Manager will evaluate the document and work with a certified translator to determine the Estimated Word Count and expected turnaround time. Manager will contact the customer to seek approval for estimated cost and completion before starting the translation.
Typical turn around time runs approximately 24 hours per 10 pages. Turnaround time is dependent on complexity (complex or legal language, charts, graphs, imagery, and other complicating factors can impact turnaround time).
Desktop publishing is available including website translation, converting files for translation, manipulating images, logos, graphs, etc.
All translators are certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). Every translator must have a level 3 language proficiency (ILR Scale) or C-1 (CEFR Scale) in both English and the foreign languages they work in.
Because the ATA does not certify every language, in those instances, SLUSA will utilize language proficiency scores, alternate certification through an industry trusted institution, as well as peer evaluated work samples to determine qualification.
