SLUSA’s Virtual Interpreting Service (Not to be mistaken for On-demand VRI Interpreting), allows you to schedule an interpreter to join your video conference. Common uses for virtual interpreting include:
- Meetings small or large – SLUSA can add interpreters to your Zoom, Webex, Google meet, or other video platform such as tele-medicine or educational platforms such as Blackboard. We can even have multiple languages simultaneously by assigning each language interpreter to a “Channel” in which participants of the meeting can choose to listen to the audio in whatever language they have requested
- Foreign languages and ASL – An ASL interpreter can be included in the meeting so that participants that require it, can pin the interpreter to their screen for easy viewing. Foreign language interpreters are assigned to a channel so that those listening to the original language are not distracted by the interpreter.
- Pre-scheduled Medical Appointments – Request SLUSA assign an interpreter to your medical appointment in advance. This allows the interpreter to prepare for the appointment and for SLUSA to evaluate and assign an interpreter who’s skills and experience best match the patient needs.
- Public Virtual Events – Add interpreters to your townhalls or other public events easily.
